Þokadís von Skýfaxi – Our Heart Horse

Pokka is a four-gaited Icelandic mare, meaning she masters walk, trot, tölt and canter. She is the mother of Soli and the foundation of Melli’s riding school and breeding program. She was bred by Melli herself, and with her the breeding prefix “Skýfaxi” was created – meaning “the mane that reaches the sky.” Pokka translates to “beautiful woman.”
She is gentle, sensitive, patient and truly a soul of a horse.
She has taught countless children to ride and comforts anyone who hugs her on a bad day. Each morning when the feed trolley arrives, she stretches first – always a funny sight. She also knows how to perform the bow.

Soli is a five-gaited Icelandic mare who masters all five gaits: walk, trot, tölt, canter and even racing pace. Watching her float freely across the arena is a real delight. She is Pokka’s second foal; her brother lives in Kassel, Germany.
Because the name Sólskin was not accepted as clearly feminine, her passport name is Prinsessa – but to us she will always be Soli.
With her natural talent, expressive movement and charming personality, she will surely become an amazing riding horse.
Brynja vom Rappenhof – The Powerful Beauty with Blue Eyes

Brynja is the second Icelandic horse Melli bought from the Rappenhof stud near Kassel – originally intended as a school horse. But it quickly became clear: this mare is far too talented, powerful and spirited to be “just” a school pony. Lucky for Melli – because Brynja became her personal riding horse.
Brynja is a true powerhouse: expressive, energetic and with impressive movements. She is a four-gaiter and, with her striking blue eyes, an absolute eye-catcher. Her trademark? She learned to “smile” on command and greets people in the stable every morning with her signature flehmen – a moment that brings joy every single day.
Schneewittchen – The Children’s Favourite

Schneewittchen is a true sweetheart and adored by all children on the finca.
She came to us during an emotional time when her previous owners needed to reduce their herd. Of course Melli immediately knew: this pony would get a home with her. With her roan coat, sweet nature and calm personality, she is perfect for the youngest riders. She loves being brushed, cuddled, led, and even ridden by small children.
She is also trained to pull a carriage and performs every task calmly and confidently. A mini pony with a big heart – and for many children, the highlight of their holiday.
Lucero – Our Golden Treasure

Lucero joined us in November 2025 so we could offer horses for bigger and heavier riders. When he arrived, he was in poor condition: underweight, lacking muscle and in need of care. So he received the full wellness package: dental work, vaccinations, worm treatment, hoof care, and then lots of good food and careful training. Lucero shows his gratitude every day with his big heart. He is extremely gentle, people-oriented and an absolute treasure in the countryside – even when ridden alone. On the riding arena he is just as reliable and kind. A charming fleabitten grey with a soft soul and the potential to become a fantastic riding horse for all ages.
We are truly happy to have him.
Nube alias Mausi – Our Little Unicorn Pony

Mausi came to us in November 2025 after a distress call. She had been passed from hand to hand for many years, often kept alone, and eventually nobody wanted her anymore. For us it was clear immediately: she deserved a new chance. When she arrived, her condition was shocking: extremely thin, with severe dental problems, a crooked bite, overgrown molars, irritated skin and clear signs of neglect. She was also emotionally affected – cautious, mistrustful and uncertain around humans.
And yet… she tries her best every day: She allows grooming, leading, lunging, she knows saddle and bit and gives her hooves willingly.
Now she receives what she urgently needs: good feed, veterinary care, time, training, love and trust.
She is blossoming a little more every day – showing her gentle and curious nature. A small pony with a big story and a heart that is slowly healing.
